Company Overview

Located in an amazing Redwood forrest, 3 hours north of San Francisco in Northern California's Mendocino County, Camp Mendocino is an award-winning, non-profit organization that facilitates the development of values and life skills essential for productive citizenship in inner-city youngsters through outdoor experiential education, mentoring, and leadership training. This year marks our 75th year of providing economically disadvantaged youngsters, ages 8 to 14, with positive experiential education programs away from the turmoil of the inner city. Our excellent staff, who come to us from all over the world and all over America, builds self-esteem and confidence in our young people by teaching them new skills, strengthening old ones and by providing opportunities for exploration and growth.

Employment for Camp Mendocino is a Summer position with the understanding that all employees must live on the premises through the duration of employment. Staff arrives June 17, 2006 and stays through August 18, 2006. Camp Mendocino is a program of the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco. Food and lodging is included.
