Company Overview
Camp Mont Shenandoah is a small, traditional, all girls camp located in the mountains of Bath County, Virginia. We offer a wide range of activities, including swimming, tennis, horseback riding, archery, sports, arts & crafts, drama, camp crafts and music.
CMS started in 1927 on traditions that continue today under the third generation of family ownership. We promote an environment in which positive values are emphasized, including our Five Virtues of Love, Loyalty, Friendship, Sportsmanship and Spiritual Awareness. We are six week camp, the period around which we design our programming, but do accept a limited number of three week campers. In 2000, we started Roots & Shoots, our one week beginner camp experience for girls between the ages of 7 and eleven who aren't quite ready for an extended period away from home. We now have two weeks of Roots & Shoots, one before the six week session begins and one after.
We are exceptionally fortunate in that we have a 75% or greater camper return rate and have a counseling staff primarily comprised of former campers and returning staff.
