FFGC Wekiva Youth Camp
Company Overview
Wekiva Youth Camp is a non-profit, overnight camp for 3rd thru 8th Graders sponsored by the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs with the mission of instilling a love and respect for the REAL Florida in our youth through environmental awareness and stewardship. Our camp is an immersive environmental education program in a pristine setting with all of the normal summer camp fun. Wekiva Youth Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association.

Company History
The FFGC operated many youth camps throughout the state dating back to the 1950s. In 1974, a permanent home was established through a unique agreement with the Florida Department of Natural Resources (now the Florida Department of Environmental Protection) on the grounds of Wekiwa Springs State Park in Apopka, Florida.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
In operation since 1974, FFGC Wekiva Youth Camp has reached thousands of young Floridians with our message of environmental conservation and restoration.
In 2017, long time FFGC Wekiva Youth Camp Volunteer Audrey "Mother Nature" Swindol, won the Cox Conserves Hero Award donating her $10,000 prize to the youth camp.

FFGC Wekiva Youth Camp's Virtual Program for 2020 sessions was awarded a National Garden Club award in 2021.
