Company Overview
Girl Scouts in the Heart of PA is now accepting applications for seasonal employment at our 2016 resident summer camps. Staff must report to camp on the following dates for Pre-Camp Orientation, based on position:
Wranglers May 29th
Lifeguards, Adventure Staff and Directors May 29th
Performing Arts, Arts and Crafts, Sports, Outdoors and General Counselors June 4th
Nurse and Camp Attendant: June 8th
Staff is required to work until August 19 2016.
Candidates must have an interest in working with children and be able to pass required background checks. All candidates must be able to stay at camp Sunday morning-Friday evening. Some weekends may be required. Room and board along with most meals are provided.

Company History
Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania formed on May 1, 2007 through the merger of four councils in central and northeastern Pennsylvania. Endorsed by the national realignment plan, GSHPA was among the first Girl Scout councils in the country to unite. The council brings together decades of rich Girl Scout history that:
• Serves more than 27,000 girl members, ages 5-17, in 2,637 troops
• Spans 30 counties in central and northeastern Pennsylvania
• Operates eight offices
• Recruits nearly 12,000 adult volunteers who serve as troop leaders, mentors, board members and adult education trainers
