Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains, just 75 miles from New York City and 100 miles from Philadelphia, Pocono Springs Camp offers a new concept in the world of overnight summer camps: a traditional co-ed camp experience in a unique 5-week program. Pocono Springs offers an extensive variety of activities and healthy challenges that allow campers to flourish. Campers have the opportunity to experience personal success, build confidence and independence, while creating lifelong friendships and lasting memories.
In addition to the innovative five-week program, completely renovated property, and inspired Directors, Pocono Springs prides itself on a team of staff members who exemplify what it means to provide campers with the summer of a lifetime each and every summer they spend at Pocono Springs. Our camp family of administration, staff, and campers define who we are and why Pocono Springs is not just our summer camp, it’s our summer home.
Company History
The Pocono Springs property has a rich history of providing unforgettable summers for campers and counselors alike. The picturesque lakefront campus welcomed its first campers in 1935 and served as the home for great summer camps, including Pocono Highlands Camp for over 65 years, until closing its gates in 2009.
In 2015, Scott and Dani rediscovered this hidden gem of a camp. They fell in love with its natural beauty and knew it was a place that needed to be brought back to life and become an extraordinary place in the lives of children again. They set out renovating the property, developing the program, and most importantly, creating their vision for Pocono Springs as a special place for campers and staff, and as America’s only five-week residential summer camp.
The Pocono Springs team has taken time, care, and extreme pride in breathing life back into the property. From the tree-lined drive, to its open fields, to the private spring-fed lake, the natural beauty of Pocono Springs remained through the years. Enhancing the abundant picture-perfect scenery, we were thrilled about the many facility and programming updates made to welcome our first summer of Pocono Springs campers in 2017!
Every building on the property underwent a complete renovation, inside and out. We added new tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, a new hockey rink, and all new sports equipment. Our private lake in the heart of camp was outfitted with new docks, jet skis, canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, a sand beach, and an aqua playground. We constructed an outdoor heated pool, a challenge course, a zip line that soars across Reflection Lake, and so much more! We are proud to be the caretakers of a place that has been so special to so many, and look forward to sharing all that Pocono Springs has to offer with you and your family.
