In this era of #whorunstheworldgirls how do we learn to be self confident women? How do we show our daughters, sisters, friends, and acquaintances that women can do anything with which they set their minds? Can learning to trust someone who is belaying you really translate back to trusting your team to make decisions? Yes! It can also translate to young women holding each other up instead of tearing each other down. She Summits Co. started with a vision that women and girls of all ages needed a space to be brave and vulnerable. An atmosphere that was friendly, supportive, and kind to try anything and everything they always wanted to do. A place to escape daily life; live our best lives; blossom into self confident women.
She Summits Co. is an adventure travel summer camp and weekend warrior tribe based out of Bangor, Maine.
Our Philosophy
She Summits Co. exists to impact each woman, young woman, and girl that comes to camp.
To let them escape society, live their best life, and blossom into self confident individuals.
She Summits Co. principles and programs create an atmosphere of lifting each individual up through the simple act of being brave.
These acts of being brave are based on each woman’s comfort level and they are encouraged to reach down and find the courageous woman inside to just take the next step.
She Summits Co. endeavors to teach women to love themselves and be confident in the person they are right now as well through these outdoor experiences
You will meet incredible women that can become some of your best friends and part of your tribe.
Days spent with She Summits Co. are priceless. These days will be challenging, dance-filled, optimisitic, singing, encouraged days.
Who We Are…
We are an adventure travel camp for women of all ages but specializing in young women age 11-16.
We are weekend warriors for women who need an escape to live their best lives.
We are a summer camp for young women that travels around the state of Maine enjoying the outdoors and learning to be more self confident through brave experiences
We are captivating to women of all ages who are looking for an adventure in Maine and want to try to step out of their comfort zone to become more self confident in the outdoors
We are a tribe, as a participant you become part of our tribe through individual attention and small group participation. We keep our numbers low for a closer experience.
Our main goals are to have fun in the outdoors, make friends, and take care of the beautiful spaces that Maine has to offer.
Company History
She Summits Co was born at midnight under a breath taking set of stars while I listened to cicadas in the Appalachian Mountains. This idea set and simmered until a friend asked me out of no where “What is your passion? Right now.” and my simple answer was “getting more girls outdoors.” Not just outdoors but being brave, learning new things, finding their best selves, and giving them a tribe to empower them. “Well do it!” was the answer I received.
Why Maine? Maine is beautiful land, full of so many open and wild spaces. It gets in your head: the people, the land, and the passion for the outdoors that goes back generations. Maine is my heart song and it will get to you too.
Why Now? My inspiration: sometimes feral, always stubborn, self assured little girls that are my life. They came into our lives like fireworks one right after the other. They have continued to light up our lives. What I want for them: to be brave, kind, and resilient. What better way to do that than by example and living a life that I love by showing them exactly how big my brave is…
We are only halfway there in launching this company, our first season will be 2020. The other half is creating a tribe. I hope that if you have read this far- you might be one of those women or young women that helps us create something new full of courageous, kind, and fun loving souls.
