Tamassee DAR School is a non-profit children’s and family service organization that has been a place of hope and learning for children in need for 100 years. At Tamassee DAR School it is all about the children and their families! We seek professional servant-minded people that desire to be a part of our child-centered and family-focused environment.

Company History
In 1919, Tamassee DAR School was established in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and for nearly 100 years has been serving our nation’s children by providing nurturing homes and opportunities through residential, educational and outreach Services. Our campus is 110 acres of land generously donated by community members. Tamassee DAR School began as a boarding school to serve girls residing in the Appalachian Mountain areas in what was then called the “dark corner”. Education along with God, Home and Country would be the tools used to “brighten their darkened horizon” for a better future.
With a century of educational success to its credit, Tamassee DAR School meets the needs of students and families in the community.
Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Tamassee, South Carolina, the 110 acre campus provides a serene backdrop for children enrolled in our programs to supplement their educational progress.
Our on campus Early Childhood Learning Center strives to instill a love of lifelong learning in the infants and toddlers they serve. Our after school program provides community elementary and middle school students with tutors, trauma-informed care, and enrichment activities, all while striving to instill good citizenship values.
As we enter our second century of service, Tamassee DAR School is happy to continue to be the place of the sunlight of God in children’s lives for another hundred years.
