Company History
Organizational History
Inspired and founded by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, Connecticut came to life in 1988. Afterwards, Mr. Newman said he wanted to acknowledge his roll of luck - the abundance of it in his life and the brutal lack of it in the lives of others, particularly children, some of whom might not have a lifetime in which to reverse their fortunes. Camp welcomed 288 children that first summer; last year, 1,047 children entered our gates. In all, we have served 14,000 children through our summer program.
