Wizards & Warriors Summer Camp
Company Overview
At the Wizards & Warriors Residential Summer Camp (which is a replica of a medieval village) campers start their week Sunday evening designing a character, complete with history, culture and special skills. Then, for the entire week, the campers (now called "Adventurers") engage in live role playing scenarios, exciting foam weapon battles, and challenging plots with our Staff until they leave on Friday of the following week.
Our entire event is designed to challenge campers with scenarios that require teamwork, creative problem solving, negotiation skills, bravery, imagination and more. Through creative role play, campers don't just learn valuable life skills - they get to actively practice them! This practice time allows a deeper level of understanding and retention.
Company History
Our camp is very unique in that the entire summer experience is based on an interactive storyline in which the campers decide the outcome. But here's the best part: The story never ends! Our heroes do succeed in various tasks and quests... but the world in which these stories are made continues on each summer... picking up where it left off the previous week or summer.
This novel concept of a live, interactive story for young heroes has been perfected over the past decade at the Guard Up! Family Swordsmanship facility in Burlington, Ma. It is here that our full and part time staff can work year round providing the adventure and environment that our students and campers enjoy.
Guard Up! Inc. was incorporated in 1999 and has been running summer camps for 8 years now. Our camp staff are among the highest trained and paid in the industry. We pride ourselves in offering a creative, exciting work environment where safety, fun and education are our primary concern.
